Kyoto protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

The Kyoto Protocol is an international treaty on greenhouse gases emissions limitations. Protocol is a supplementary document to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and commits developed countries and countries with transition economies to reduce or stabilize greenhouse gas emissions in 2008-2012 to 1990 levels. Protocol was adopted in 1997 and entered into force in 2005.

Joint Implementation Projects in the world (JI UNFCCC website)

Official website of the UNFCCC, which publishes all JI projects under Track 1, starting from the stage of the project registration, and JI projects under Track 2, starting from the stage of project determination.

Information about the project under Track 1 is presented with еthe project identifier (ID), is used in the international transaction log (ITL), as soon as the relevant project information has been submitted by the host Party. "Track 1" project information is provided solely by the host Party.

Details of project details under Track 2 are listed as the corresponding positive determination is final in accordance with paragraph 35 of the JI guidelines, the ITL project ID is shown as soon as this determination is valid in accordance with paragraph 3 of Decision 10/CMP.1. "Track 2" project information displays information generated under the verification procedure under the JISC, in addition to that made available by the host Party.

State Environmental Investment Agency of Ukraine is the central executive body and is directed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine. The Agency is part of the executive branch and within its competence ensures the implementation of the state policy in thearea of regulation of negative anthropogenic impact on climate change and adaptation to its changes, and the requirements of the Framework Convention of the United Nations Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol.
