United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC ) was adopted on June, 1992 at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro and entered into force on March, 1994. The objective of the treaty is “to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system”.
